Calling for a Celebration!

I had to wait just a little while to share this exciting news, but word is public now! I've been bursting at the seams with excitement for my awesome hubs, who made a career move recently that landed him with an excellent company. I'm so proud of him (all the time)!! As most of you know, when contemplating a new job opportunity, there's a lot of thought, stress, prayer, and anxiety that go into the decision making process. There's comfort in knowing that the good Lord places certain opportunities in your life with intention! We feel certain that the big man is leading us on a path that he has chosen for us with this wonderful opportunity for Brince.

So, we are thrilled with the fun new changes brought to our life! A few weeks ago when Brince made his decision, I was tickled pink to celebrate. Although we were not at liberty to share the news yet, there was no reason for the two of us not to celebrate together! I surprised Brince at home with celebratory champagne, cupcakes, cough drops (he was a little under the weather), and an adapter to make our Smart TV "smart" so that we could indulge in Netflix episodes. :)

Brince started his new job in February and now we are both working in Perry. We've been practicing carpooling because we care about the environment...and believe that a shared commute is wayyyy more fun than driving alone!!!

Chalk Signs

Before our wedding, I really got into DIY signage. I started playing with cute fonts and planning out what kind of signs I'd like to use for the wedding. I just loved scrolling through different styles of signs on pinterest. The chalkboard signs matched our rustic chic decor perfectly!

I pulled in a wooden pallet from the farm and painted up this menu board. I was thrilled with how it turned out.

And recently, I was commissioned to do this menu board for a sweet couple getting married. I really enjoy getting to doodle and put my skills to work! I'm looking forward to the opportunity to do more sign projects in the future. Got a special event? Let me know! :)

A Bainbridge Wedding

In the middle of January, we traveled down to Bainbridge for my friend Dia's wedding. It was such a fun weekend with friends! The wedding was beautiful and the reception was a blast! The wedding took place at First Methodist Church in Bainbridge. After the ceremony, guests gathered at the Kirbo Regional Center for a tasty southern menu and a night of dancing. The couple had The Swingin Medallions at the rehearsal, and boy, are they a good time!

With my handsome date at the cocktail hour.

My friend Katie and her fiance Paul were our traveling buddies for the weekend. They are getting ready for their own wedding in May!

This super cute timeline was in the room where the cocktail hour took place.

Dia looked gorgeous and her dress was beautiful!

There was a special guest at the reception...Hairy Dawg showed up! He's got some pretty good moves that he showed us on the dance floor.

We sent the bride and groom off with a sparkler exit.

Until the next one!!
